Asia University interns Explores ERP in action through mcframe GA
Asia University of Taiwan is considered one of the top universities in Taiwan, and #1 among private universities in Business and Economics, as well as Computer and Social Sciences, in order to make their students more global and international looking. It works actively with countries all over the world, and every year, it chooses and allows hundreds of students to cross enroll or get on the job training outside the country.
(https://web.asia.edu.tw/)This year, it chooses to send 6 of its Accounting Information students to come to the Philippines and visit N-Pax Cebu Corporation, a leading ICT company. Among the major tasks they were assigned by Prof Ling Yi Chou of the Department of Accounting and Information systems is to study mcframe GA, one of the more successful ERP systems used in the Philippines which is distributed by N-Pax, and developed by Business Engineering Corporation of Japan
(B-EN-G - https://www.b-en-g.co.jp/en/).The on-the-job training program, conducted over the course of four (4) weeks, from July 01 – 31, 2025. The students were introduced to the core functionalities of the system, including financial accounting, system configuration, and operational workflows aligned with international business practices. The student interns recognized the value of the system, noting its wide range of features that support key business operations—from tracking invoices and recording purchases to automatically generating journal entries that seamlessly reflect in the financial statements. They experienced how their classroom learning translates into business processes and also noted the various function that make the system enterprise capable of serving midrange companies as compared to some of the accounting systems they learned that were developed in Taiwan for small industries.
